As we find ourselves reflecting on the effects of the past few years and looking forward to what’s next and ensuring we are doing what is best to serve our customers and community, our teams at 18th StreetBrewery and 18th Street Distillery. As of December 1, our Indianapolis taproom will be closing permanently. Many factors played into our decision but the two biggest being our lease expired and the extremely tight labor market in the service industry. We want to thank everyone that ventured down to the Eastside to visit our taproom. Just to be clear we will not be leaving the Eastside, we worked with the amazing people at NEAR East group to secure their old office at 2807 for our new distillery location and we could not be more excited. The new space is bright, beautiful and gives us a few amenities we need for future growth, it will have a large fenced-in patio, which will also allow us to host live music and other community events along with a separate to-go area for spirits, beer & merchandise. We are just a few months away from opening and will spend that time adding the final touches to the space and training our staff. We will post that date once we have it locked in. Finally, we want to thank our GM Libby who had also decided prior to this announcement she wanted to take a new career path. Libby has been with us for over four years, first in Hammond and the last couple in Indy. Libby's hard work and dedication are one of the many things that stand out, but most of all Libby's love for the community, treating everyone that walked through our doors with kindness, dignity and respect no matter who you were. We are happy to say you will see Libby on the weekends at the new space with her amazing smile sliding you a beautiful beverage. Please join Libby and her staff one final time on Wednesday November 30.
Cheers!🍻
