Business Update
Hey everyone,
The past year has been tough for the entire world and that includes us. We are a family-owned and operated company. It took us 13 years of extremely hard work for our entire family to build our business from a small sandwich shop to a restaurant group. So when the pandemic started we were not financially prepared to survive long without 100% of our sales. The amount of our overhead does not make it possible for us to survive off of a limited capacity or takeout-only model. So, for this reason, we have remained closed for almost a year.
We do have plans to reopen but this may be in a very different capacity than before. We are exploring all options at this point. We don't have an exact timeline on when we will reopen. We miss the extended family (our employees) that we gained over the last 13 years and will function again soon to be able to bring back jobs.
During the 13 years of running our restaurants, we have gained experience by building multiple brands from the ground up. We have also built a strong social media presence through our marketing expertise. So while we figure out how our restaurant business evolves from here, we have started a creative design company to help companies build new mobile websites and help build their social media presence.
As business moves to primarily online ordering, we realize that many small restaurants like ours do not have the time or know-how to build mobile websites to showcase their food. We have developed a solution and want to help businesses like ours to build their own online menus and maximize the online menu experience.
So if you've enjoyed our food in the past or maybe have even worked with us then please consider following our new company and sharing this. We will be giving away a website redesign to a local business so tag and mention your favorite bar, restaurant, or brewery in a comment below and we will choose one for a website makeover.

Exciting Update:
The last few months have given us time to reflect on the past 12 years of our business. We are extremely grateful for all the support we have received from the Indiana community since day one.
We’re sure many of you know that we opened Pig Iron Public House 5 years ago just north of Pittsburgh. We have come to realize that in these changing times, consolidation of our three concepts into one uniform brand will allow us to focus and provide the best chance of future success. We have chosen to move ahead at our Indiana location as Pig Iron Public House. Over the next few weeks we will begin a refresh of our physical space as well as our social media accounts and overall brand footprint.
What does this mean for our loyal customers? Well, we will continue to provide the excellent customer service and food that we have for the past 12 years. There will be some menu changes but we will keep the favorites that you’ve come to love. Also all gift cards for Steel City and Twisted Jimmys will be honored at Pig Iron Public House. The main changes will be to our atmosphere, marketing and branding, so you’ll see your favorite servers wearing some cool new merchandise.
We look forward to serving you soon and thank you for your well wishes during these tough times. We don’t have an exact opening date yet. Stay tuned to our social media pages for updates to timelines and new menu items!
Cheers,
The Lang Family
