HOSTS WANTED!!

We’re adding a couple more reasons to hang out at Northland this fall, and we’re looking for the right people to help us do it!

💡 TRIVIA WEDNESDAYS
We’ve got the trivia questions.
We’ve got the PA.
We’ve got the crowd.

We just need someone friendly, outgoing and comfortable on a microphone to keep things moving and make it fun. You don’t need to be a trivia expert — we’re supplying all the material.

🎤 OPEN MIC SUNDAYS
Same basic idea. We’ve got the PA, mics and basic gear. We’re looking for someone who knows their way around live music, likes people, and can keep things moving while making musicians of all styles and skill levels feel welcome.

These could be two different people, so if one sounds like you but the other doesn’t, that’s totally fine.

We’re flexible on exact times, and yes, these are paid gigs! It's an easy, regular schedule and we'll even provide dinner and a couple beers!

🎶 FRIDAY 7–10PM — LEE FAYSSOUX

It’s the BIG album release party for Lee Fayssoux and his stellar new EP, Cotton Blossoms!

We’ve got a FULL BAND show, with Lee performing the new album along with a fitting 9/11 tribute. Plus a merch tent, special meet & greet with Lee, food trucks, craft beer and a kickass good time!

🎶 SATURDAY 7–10PM — MICHELLE CHENARD

Soulful, rootsy and effortlessly Northern Michigan. Michelle is a gifted songwriter and storyteller with a voice that feels right at home around campfires, back porches and Up North bars. She’s simply part of the fabric of the Northern Michigan music scene.

🌽 SUNDAY FUNDAY FUNDRAISER!

We're raising some dough for the Inland Lakes High School World Language & Culture Club!

Co****le tournament kicks off at 2PM, then at 4PM Lee Fayssoux will be supplying the soundtrack for a special silent auction, popcorn and root beer float stand!

And just because summer is winding down doesn't mean WE are...

We're keeping the LIVE MUSIC and special events rolling all fall at Northland!

Hoo-Wee!!

What. A. Weekend.

All the feels today!! This is a long one, bear with me…

Duffy King kicked off our sixth annual Summer Sendoff Friday with blistering guitar licks and a great hometown crowd.

Saturday the Galactic Sherpas did what the Sherpas do and you guys showed up in numbers we’ve never seen before.

The place was absolutely bananas. Our crew busted their asses, the food trucks were buried, the beer lines were ridiculous…and somehow everybody was just HAPPY.

Seriously. A million little fires to put out, but no drama, no major problems. Just a whole bunch of people having a really good time together.

Then Sunday was the perfect opposite. Beautiful day, cold beers, Harris-McCosky tearing it up and a bunch of people hanging around with nowhere in particular to be.

Just…Northland.

Reflecting today, I keep thinking how Northland really isn’t one small business.

On a summer weekend there are food trucks, musicians, makers, artists, DJs, sound guys, vendors, suppliers and our own crew all making some little piece of their living here.

That’s a whole bunch of small businesses and local families all doing their own thing, together.

And I love that.

A rising tide raises all ships. Build a bigger pie. Whatever you want to call it, that’s always been the idea.

Six years ago, before there was even a brewery here, I wrote:

“More than any one business, we’re creating a PLACE in Indian River—a place for community, camaraderie and inclusion.”

I believed it then and I probably believe it even more now.

So thanks to everyone who bought a beer this summer, grabbed some food, tipped a bartender, supported a musician or maker, danced in the grass, brought your kids, your dogs, your friends from out of town, waited patiently in those stupid beer lines Saturday 😬, or just pulled up a chair and hung out with us for a while.

And thanks to ALL the people who worked their tails off this summer making this crazy little place work.

It takes a whole bunch of us.

And looking around this weekend, I think we’ve built something pretty damn cool together.

Is everybody READY?!?

We've got one BIG, beautiful, slightly irresponsible weekend left before we put a bow on another magical summer in the Northland. 🍻🤘

SUMMER SENDOFF WEEKEND IS HERE!!

We’ve spent the last few months filling this backyard with live music, cold beer, old friends, new friends, packed picnic tables, dancing kids, questionable decisions and a whole lotta nights we weren’t quite ready to end.

So we’re sure as hell not sneaking quietly out of summer.

FRIDAY 7–10PM — DUFFY KING
Indian River’s own. Hometown hero. Ridiculously good guitar player. Damn fine way to get this thing rolling.

SATURDAY 7–10PM — THE GALACTIC SHERPAS
The SIXTH ANNUAL SUMMER SENDOFF.
This is THE ONE. Our biggest, rowdiest, most anticipated night of the year. If you know, you know. If you don’t...Saturday’s a pretty good night to find out.

SUNDAY 5–8PM — HARRIS-McCOSKY DUO
A happy little accident we stumbled into earlier this summer and immediately knew we needed again. Jammy, loose, exploratory and the perfect Sunday landing after Saturday night’s trip around the galaxy.

Three days. Three killer shows.

NO COVER.

Just good music, good beer and a whole bunch of good people squeezing every damn drop we can out of a Northern Michigan summer.

We’ve been waiting all year for this weekend.
