Thank you everyone who helped make our "Sandbar" great ππΊπ€we have so enjoyed the amazing wide variety of guests from near and very far away π that venture in on their travels ....or staying in the gorgeous airbnb cabins πor stopping in after all the fun fantastic outdoor adventures this area has to offer πΆπ¦ποΈ
Its been 7 years on September 15th we were fortunate enough to acquire οΏΌthe keys to the famous " Mt Index Cafe" βοΈ established in 1948
I remember going there as a child with my family after Church and when I bought my cabin on River in 2005 the cafe and Bar were going strong.
It's been 7 years of good luck π still strong after many challenges we all went through.
We applied for our liquor license at the same time Covid was coming out... we were one of two people in the whole state that we were applying for liquor licenses at that time.... it was quite frustrating because the gal was working from home and it took her forever to get anything done... and of course we all know what the next couple years were like under the Covid crisis π§ then there was the bolt Creek fire π₯ that went on for several months and of course the several years after and we're still dealing with the trees that fall down and close the highway and all the power outages.... anyone that lives up here knows about all that. Luckily we kept our overhead low, we try keep our prices low... unfortunately we don't have a lot to offer in the way of great restaurant food... but we make up for it in what we do offer. And best atmosphere, amazing views and just fun times that people will remember ... and if you don't believe me check out our Google reviews lol π
