Here is the arrangement information: Calling hours will be from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, on Friday, August 28, 2026, at Sweet’s Funeral Home, Rte 9., Hyde Park, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 29, 2026, Our Lady of the Rosary Chapel, 185 Hudson View Dr., Poughkeepsie, NY. Burial with military honors will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery, Poughkeepsie, Poughkeepsie, NY.

It is with a deeply heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved George.
​After 50 wonderful years of serving this community, sharing laughs, and making unforgettable memories, Georgie O's will be closing immediately. We're not sure if we will open again.
​We know how much this bar meant to all of you, and how much all of you meant to George. Serving you for half a century was the pride of his life. He lived for this Bar!
​We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this sudden closure causes for upcoming plans, pool leagues, events, or gatherings. Thank you for 50 years of loyalty, laughter, and support. We will share details regarding a memorial service as soon as they are finalized.
​Rest in peace, George. You will be dearly missed. We Love You George 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
