Vendors! You can hang out with us on October 16th for the last Art Walk of 2026, and then set up for the first Halloween Carnival in Ritter Park on Saturday, October 17th!

Hey y’all! So remember when we mentioned a Halloween Carnival happening on October 17th? Well… it’s actually happening! 🎃

We have an awesome graphic designer working on what is probably going to be the coolest flyer we’ve ever had, but while we wait for that masterpiece, we need YOUR help to make this event happen.

We already have rides, games, face painters, and more in the works, but we really want to fill the park with local vendors, food trucks, businesses, and community organizations. The goal is to make this a big, fun night for everyone, and we can’t do that without the people and businesses that make our community so great.

If you’re interested in setting up at the Halloween Carnival, sign up here: https://forms.gle/VeRmJK34L7HYMLKM7

Or, if you have questions, just shoot our Recreation Coordinator, Sydney DeVaney an email at: [email protected]

How cool would it be if you did this? 👀

You’ve still got 18 days to submit your design for a chance to win $500 cash! Submissions are due no later than 11:59 p.m. on Friday, September 25th to Museum Store Manager Mollie Hatfield via email [email protected]. For the full set of rules, details, and the official entry form, please visit https://hmoa.org/t-shirt-design-contest/!

The photo from the HMA archives shows a billboard placed along McCoy Road, announcing the plans to develop the plot of land donated by Huntington businessman Herbert Fitzpatrick into the Huntington Galleries. HMA would remain the “Galleries” until 1987, when the name Huntington Museum of Art was officially adopted. Did you know that the stone walls (also pictured) that still line our property today were commissioned by Fitzpatrick during the Depression years to provide work for community members who were facing unemployment?

🎃 Help Us Turn Heritage Station Into a Pumpkin Village! 🎃

GHPRD’s iconic Jack-o’-Lantern is returning to the gazebo at Heritage Station on October 1st—and this year, we’re inviting YOU to help bring our pumpkin village to life!

For one special week, your painted, carved, or creatively decorated pumpkins are invited to join ours. Simply bring your pumpkin to Heritage Station and add it to the display any time on or after Monday, October 12th.

All pumpkins will remain on display through Downtown Huntington’s Art Walk on Friday, October 16th, creating a magical, artistic Halloweentown right here at Heritage Station.

✨ Gather your family, get creative, and help us fill Heritage Station with pumpkins, imagination, and Halloween spirit!

Let’s make Heritage Station a Halloweentown to remember! 🎃👻🧡
