SOLD OUT Aji Mango! πŸ₯πŸŒΆ

Perhaps it's because I favor taking more pics of my favorite varieties when I keep saying, "Look at one of our favorite varieties!" but... look at those! The color is just as intense as the flavor. Quite a bit of heat and honestly tastes very mango-y! πŸ”Ά

The Aji Mango is a highly productive Capsaicin baccatum pepper variety, originating from South America (Peru/Colombia), known for its bright orange, 2–3 inch pods and sweet, fruity, mango-like flavor. It is a medium-hot chili, ranging from 100,000 to 150,000 Scoville Heat Units (SHU), making it about the same heat as a habanero! πŸ₯΅

Plant Height: Plants are bushy and tall, often reaching 3–5 feet, and usually require staking

Production: Highly prolific, producing dozens to hundreds of peppers per plant!

The foundation to our foods start with these plants right here! It's all coming together. Years of burning the candle at both ends to fully commit to this concept. Years of busting butt and pouring every penny into downtown Huntington. Years in the making, so we don't fall short on our promises. It's all worth it!

Last chance this weekend to get some unique garden producers over here! πŸŒΆπŸ…πŸ†

πŸ•‘ Noon to 6 today (Sunday)

🌱 Yes, it's about to get chilly (again)

🌱 Yes, it is too early to plant peppers, tomatoes, and eggplant starts outside

🌱 Yes, we will be open throughout the spring planting season! (Though, hours will shift around to accommodate all the other obligations of life, and while we learn what works best for you all!)

🌱 Yes, we can hold plants for you until you are ready!!

🌱 Yes, we will be continuing to add varieties throughout the season. We start in successions (every 3-7 days) for several months; hence size and variety variances. The smaller ones aren't weaker, they're just younger! And the super hotties take a LOT longer to mature than other varieties!

Some of our varieties (especially rare hotties) are close to selling out already. Which is just the most awesome and rewarding thing ever after pouring our hearts and souls into these plants! Every single plant is started from seed, transplanted, potted up, hand labeled, babied, and hardened off by us. Our varieties are a mix of purchased seeds, and seeds we've saved - some of which are family heirlooms we have been saving seeds from for decades.

🌱 Yes, we will be selling produce! All in good time.

🌱 And yes, some of these plants can get massive. Pepper plants taller than me, wider than me, and heavy yielding - just gotta give em a big space. Tomatoes that we need cattle panel arches for because they have 12 foot vines covered in fruit. We are more than happy to help you grow massive plants with massive yields!

Looking forward to continuing connecting with our local garden community. This is awesome. Let's GO!!

The last moments of the garden before frost cloths and frost hardy greens. This plant is coming inside to finish off fruiting and then the ultimate decision must be made for how many peppers we are actually going to try and winter over this year. To be continued... 🌢

Moving HQ to our founder's hometown downtown was the BEST decision. We can't wait to show you the studios and all o' that! It's pretty special. While we don't have regular office hours (because, random on-location filming schedules and sporadic construction doesn't really make that a great idea), you can ALWAYS send us a direct message or email! We are 100% in operation and ready to knock your socks off!
