NWCo Fans - unfortunately, it's come to our attention that someone decided to convert one of our "Negret Wine Company" signs into a "Regret" sign, which is now featured in the old Tasting Room window facing the street. In short, this is disappointing, shameful, and cowardly. To be clear, we had NOTHING to do with this and no knowledge of it until a couple days ago. We thought the signs were sold-off when the company went out of business, but clearly not. What the perpetrators seem to have miscalculated is that "regret" is the last thing we feel about NWCo. While there were obviously lessons learned we walked away with business-wise (marketing tactics, expense management, etc.), we are incredibly PROUD that, for a year, we had the opportunity to pursue our 75-year family dream with the good people of Hudson. You tasted our wines, listened to our stories, learned about our wine-making process, and saw first-hand the passion we poured into every glass. You even brought our wines into your homes, spreading the NWCo story far beyond 2nd Street. Businesses open and close every day, and ours was no different. But when you can say that you chased your dream with every ounce of your being, there are no "regrets", no failures. Only memories, smiles, relationships, laughter, gratitude, and of course good wine. Those who resort to primitive and unimaginative schoolyard bullying to try and "kick us while we're down" clearly missed this point, and we hope they find peace soon. We certainly have :-). Have a blessed Memorial Day Weekend, everyone
