Sydney's last shift in the taproom will be on Saturday, February 24, from 4-8pm. It also happens to be her birthday, which makes two reasons to celebrate with a pint. We'd love to see you there, so mark your calendar! 🎂

Today we're releasing a new beer - The Irish Goodbye, a big, beautiful, classic stout aged on coffee beans and dark cocoa nibs. Don't sleep on this one. 🍻

To our friends and family that have helped build Southern Yankee Beer Company — the time has come to announce the brewery is listed for sale. Rather than be a focus of rumor and speculation, we decided to be open about this step, knowing that you would be understanding. As you might know, running a business is not easy and many members of the Porter family balance full-time pursuits outside of the industry. We have decided it is time to focus on our next chapter and allow the brewery to benefit from new ownership.

The pandemic was a wild time; we appreciate that you got us through those years. Heck, many of you supported us at both locations as we opened the Crafthouse in 2021.

We’d love to conclude this chapter as we started — brewing from our variety of more than 100 distinct beers on rotation and sharing with our friends. Come hang out with us! We’re operating as normal until new ownership takes over to build their own dream.

We can’t thank you enough for your support. We’ve developed friendships that are deeper than a shared love for craft beer over the last five years.

Looking for Oktoberfest vibes? 🍻 Ich Bin Paul is back on tap! This Märzen starts with a slightly sweet malt-biscuit flavor, a touch of toasty bready-ness, and ends with a crisp, dry snap. We also have Paramount Pils, a Czech Pilsner, on tap and Stone Fuego Pizza Company is making a killer bratwurst special. Prost!

We wish we only had good news to share... Like many in Houston this summer, we're dealing with an AC problem. We plan to serve cold beer and fresh pizza today anyway because the taproom will still be cooler than outside. (That's saying something!)

We'll be closed Sunday (August 20), have the A/C fixed on Monday, and open again on Tuesday (August 22).🤞

Thanks y'all because we were happy to see our name in the Top 5, along with our neighbors: Senate Avenue Brewing Company, Lone Pint Brewery, Klaus Brewing Company, and Paradigm Brewing Company. 🫶

We're open Sundays 12-6pm, with food available from Stone Fuego Pizza Company. (Edit - Stone Fuego is closed Sunday, July 23.)
