EEH was 4 months old when the Astros won their first World Series in 2017. Those who’ve been hanging out with us since then will be familiar with —where every post-season game we make a cocktail inspired by a player and put their tiny floating head on top. The menu builds every playoff game, and if any player that had a cocktail hit a home run, their drink was half price for the rest of the game.
WELL LET’S WIPE OUR COLLECTIVE TEARS THAT WE DIDN’T GET TO DO IT THIS YEAR FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER, because the Texans are… pretty good?
Introducing… Tex-tails?? Let’s do it again, but make it football. In this cocktail series, for any player that gets a touchdown (or a sack), their drink drops to half price for the remainder of the game. First up is the easiest pun on the roster, the Nico Collins. It’s like the namesake Tom, with gin, lemon, and soda water; but with a grapefruit pomegranate twist.
And lucky for you guys it’s also $4 dogs-n-drafts Monday at EEH, where almost all of the drafts are $4 and we rotate a specialty hot dog every week. This week we wanted it to be super Texan so we’ve got a pimento cheese dog with bacon and candied jalapeños (swipe right for pic). Veggie and regular ballpark as always available upon request. We’ll be open with game on projector and all TVs, with sound for all the Texans postseason games. 7:15 kickoff tonight!
