Today is one of the saddest day of my life.
I spent a third of my life in this wonderful place and now it's gone forever.
But definitely I'll take all of the good people I had the opportunity to get to know along the years in my heart!!!

Good afternoon, friends. Today I'd like to share a photo of me and a lifelong friend, Dr. "Red" Duke. He was a tremendous friend and doctor. Most of Houston knew him for his segment "Dr. Red Duke's Health Reports" which aired for 15 years or for his achievements in the medical and surgical fields like his vision for the Life Flight program. I was lucky enough to call him a friend up until the day he passed away. He's even patched me up more than once, including the time I flipped a motorcycle in the middle of the Astrodome in front of 44,000 people. Red happened to be on duty when I was admitted for several broken bones. He came in with his booming voice that you could hear from a county over and cracked a joke that only he could make. We used to sit at Kay's lounge after work most night's over beer and pizza. He was a colorful man and one of the best storytellers I knew - he'd have everyone laughing at my birthday parties when he'd tell a story. He was truly a beloved man across Houston and across this nation.
