The Maw Maw Walker started with one simple goal…

Get people back downtown. ❤️

That’s it.

No big corporate plan.
No massive budget.
Just a wild idea that if enough people threw on a muumuu and acted like their maw maw for a day… maybe we could pack downtown Houma again.

And LOOK what happened. 🔥

What started as a goofy idea exploded into an award-winning event that now brings THOUSANDS of people through our local businesses, bars, restaurants, shops, and streets.

Every drink bought.
Every costume worn.
Every sponsor.
Every share.
Every volunteer busting their butt.
THAT is what built this thing.

The Maw Maw Walker exists to help keep downtown alive, support local businesses, celebrate Cajun culture, and remind people that Houma knows how to have a damn good time.
