ROUTE 96 IS CLOSING
With a heavy heart we announce the closing of Route 96. Our last day of business will be April 30th. This was not an easy decision to make but, due to ongoing staffing issues that we are faced with, we have no other choice. It has become impossible to provide the quality service that our loyal customers have come to expect and deserve.

We would like to Thank all of our customers and employees that have done business with us over the years. Your support and dedication made Perks/Route 96 a successful business and a great place to be. You will be missed!

**Counterfeit Cash**

We've recently received counterfeit bills in the $10 denomination around Seymour.

These are slightly unusual, as it is a lower currency amount. The majority of our counterfeit money is $20 and above and very few people scrutinize smaller bills. These are created bills and not "washed" US currency.

From a few feet, these bills appear genuine and the paper is relatively similar in feel but not durability.

This batch is purposely weathered, and contains the following indicators:

-Rips and tears easily
-Missing the "TEN" internal strip
-Non-reflective check ink
-Ink runs when wetted
-Watermark missing
-Edge wrinkles and tears copied into the bill
-Microprinting unreadable
-Boarders and edges have fuzzy ink
-Fails counterfeit pen test

The serial number is MC 06192948B and we believe whoever is making these is probably cranking out large quantities from a color printer.

Please be on the lookout 👀 and report any of these bills to SPD if they are located.
