1. Drew Ross stopped by last night and dropped off some painting supplies for the beer garden. Drink beer and paint outdoors.

As we prepare for another Loggers' Playday weekend, I'm feeling a mix of emotions. It's a bittersweet time, as I've always looked forward to celebrating this special tradition with our community. At the same time, we want to share some difficult news.

After much thought, I have made the difficult decision to close Hoquiam Brewing Co. Our final day slinging pizzas, burgers, and pints will be September 19th, 2026.

HBC began as a few scribbles on a notepad, some spreadsheets, and a desire to build a place in my hometown for people to gather, eat, and tell the occasional bad joke. ✅Check, ✅Check, annnnd ✅CHECK! This place grew into something far greater than I'd ever imagined. Because of this incredible community, we've shared countless pints, stories, celebrations, and friendships over the years. I am deeply grateful for every person who walked through our doors to support us and local craft beer.

Thank you to our customers, employees, friends, families, and fellow businesses who helped make this journey possible. While this chapter is coming to an end, the memories and relationships we've built will stay with us forever.

I'd also like to offer a special personal thank you to our management team (Super Drew, TeeVee, & Dejka). Your support, hard work, friendship, and belief in Hoquiam Brewing Co. helped carry us through many successes and failures (I'm not sure which of those we had more of, but we always had fun doing it!). What we've built together means more than I can adequately put into words, and I'll always be grateful for the part each of you played in this journey.

Please stop by this or next week to raise one last glass with us. We'd love the opportunity to celebrate one final Loggers' Playday weekend together and thank you in person for being part of our story.

Usually, we get annoyed when you steal our glassware, but tomorrow night we’re literally telling you to take it.

$10 gets you a full pour and you keep this year’s anniversary glass. We’re keeping the design covered up today because frankly, you need to read this one in person with a beer in your hand.
