Two barrels. One afternoon.

On June 6th, 16 guests get inside the rickhouse for our first ever Barrel Pick Double Header.

Four candidate barrels. Your group selects two.
Barrel one becomes the next release in the Revere Single Barrel line.

Barrel two goes to the Western Kentucky Distillers Event in Paducah — a multi-distillery pour where every WKY distillery brings their best to the same table. The barrel your group picks has to hold its own in that room.

Every previous pick in the Barrel Pick Program has booked out. This one will too.

The staff told me I had to work tomorrow signing bottles for our Bottle Your Own Bourbon Experience. I told them… that’s not work, that’s fun and an honor. 🥃

And in the spirit of America’s 250th anniversary, it feels even more special getting to meet and share stories with people from all over this great country.

Today was especially meaningful. I was honored to be gifted a coin from a great group of veterans having a reunion:
265th RRC ABN (1967–1968)
406th RRD (1965–1968)
101st Airborne.

What a fine group of men and their wives. Thank you for your service, your stories, and your friendship.

I’ve always enjoyed signing bottles and talking bourbon with folks from all over the country, just like we did today at Casey Jones Distillery.

Moments like this remind me there’s just no way you can call this work.

This one is different.

Our third Barrel Pick is on the calendar — and the barrel is already chosen.

On June 13, a small group gets inside the rickhouse for something we’re calling The Finishing Masterclass. Not a selection event. A deconstruction of how a bourbon gets made, told entirely through the liquid itself.

Six pours. Two hours. In the order it happened.

You’ll taste the base bourbons before anything touched them. You’ll taste the apricot wine that finished this barrel — on its own terms, before the cask changed it. You’ll taste what happened after.

Then this: Apricot Wine Finished Bourbon Batch 1. Sold out last year. One personal reserve bottle remaining. You’ll taste it knowing everything that built it.

And then Batch 2 — straight from the cask. Before it’s released. Before anyone else knows it exists.

The last thing you’ll do is name it. Your submission could go on the label.
