LAST CALL FOR SMOKED BBQ!!!

On Saturday, September 12, Tin Lizzie will be closing out the summer BBQ season with a bang!! Rain or shine, we will be open from Noon - 8pm to offer the final smoking of our "fall off the bone" St Louis style ribs, incredible tender and delicious brisket, pulled pork sandwiches, pineapple BBQ smoked sausage and our Exclusive Cowboy Beans!! We have brought in enough to feed an army (literally), but when its gone, it will be gone for the season!

In celebration of this amazing summer, a time of rebuilding and recovery, all after a fire that tested us all, we could not be prouder to host the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association's local chapter's year end fundraiser event this Saturday from Noon - 4pm in conjunction with our final days of our summer BBQ offering.

They support our Veterans and their families, so many of which have also been through life altering chapters in their lives to offer us the liberties and freedoms we enjoy every day. What an amazing summer it has been... the pub has been filled to the brim everyday and Tin Lizzie has been selling out of BBQ by the end of Sunday the last 4 consecutive weeks. Thank you so much for allowing us to be such a huge part of your summer plans!!

Now as summer winds down and we prepare for the fall... our BBQ season in Tin Lizzie has 3 weekends left (thru the weekend of the 12th) and we prepare for the opening of football season!

TIN LIZZIE UPDATE FOR THE WEEKEND

The weather forecast is asking Tin Lizzie to put on a raincoat... so we have decided to only offer our Smoked BBQ on Saturday this weekend from noon until at least 3pm or until the weather simply makes it an uncomfortable area to dine thereafter.

Please come early to join us for lunch or take an order home for dinner for yourself and/or the whole family. We looking forward to serving you!!

What is the meaning behind Tin Lizzie?

For us at the Model T, it simply creates a separate venue with its own menu and themed area for outside dining with a full service bar offering amazing Smoked BBQ every Saturday (Noon-8pm) and Sunday (Noon-7pm) throughout the summer, weather permitting.

Meanwhile, during the week, it can offer an outside dining area after drinks and/or TOGO food purchased from inside the pub, when we have the staffing and customer flow allowing us to offer that as an option.

As for the name and its meaning... back in the 1920's there was a famous Model T race car named Old Liz. Then when Ford stopped producing the Model T in the early 30's and focused on the Model A, many Model T's began to rust and become salvaged cars throughout America... eventually gaining the nickname Tin Lizzie, another name for a Model T that has generally lost its looks and luster, but it is still a classic in its own right.

So in the spring of 2024, the folks at White Barn helped us rebuild our fencing with metal siding (which will eventually rust like the Model T's did) and revamped the area with 20 tables and umbrellas, full service bar and northwest metal work along the top of the fence to help offer a great extension to the already legendary 43 year old Model T Pub.

Come check us out this weekend!! A great area for families and larger groups that the pub normally cannot accommodate as easily or just swing in for a quick bite and/or drink while engaging in a great conversation with Kris and Chelsea as they serve you.

This weekend we celebrate our nation's 250 year anniversary, taking time to remember everything our founding father's overcame to create the best country in the world!

We too at the Model T and Tin Lizzie will shadow that inspiring feeling of overcoming so much over our 43 year history to serve you with that same pride as your community pub this historic holiday weekend!!

Nothing too fancy, just the same great atmosphere, with some new touches after our fire forced remodel. Due to the rain and colder temps forecasted for this weekend, we will not be offering our smoked BBQ Menu this weekend... but we will be back with extended days for the following holiday weekend (see below). Meanwhile, the pub will be open normal hours this weekend with a couple specials... Soccer Tots and Cowboy Beans available until supplies last!
