Today marks the end of an era.
At 1:00 PM today, Tilly Jane’s Sports Bar & Grill will close its doors for the final time.
When I purchased Tilly’s nearly five years ago, I had no idea how much this little restaurant would change my life. Through countless games, UFC fights, celebrations, fundraisers, birthdays, holidays, late nights, early mornings, and everything in between, Tilly’s became so much more than a sports bar. It became a gathering place, a community, and a second home for so many people, myself included.
The past five years have brought incredible highs and some equally difficult challenges. Over the last several years, I have also faced significant health challenges that ultimately led me to this decision. As much as I love this business and this community, there comes a time when you have to listen to your body and choose your health. That time has come for me.
Through it all, I have been endlessly grateful for the support of our staff, our regulars, our friends, and this community. Thank you for every meal shared, every drink raised, every game watched, and every memory made within these walls.
While this chapter is coming to a close, the story of this location is not over. A new sports bar concept is expected to reopen in the space in the coming weeks. My hope is that it continues to be a place where friends gather, games are celebrated, and new memories are made.
As for me, I leave this chapter with gratitude, lessons that will last a lifetime, and a heart full of memories. While this door is closing, I am looking forward to the next chapter and focusing on my health, my family, and the opportunities that lie ahead.
