Just a reminder, we will be set up at the Honey Brook Fire Co during Harmony Days Sept 21st, selling walking tacos. We will also have members present to answer any of your questions about becoming a member, and can get you an application.

Also a reminder, follow our page to be aware of various special events where we are open to the public (non members) such as live music events and food events! Our last live music event had a small showing, we are trying to get the word out to the public for your support to keep us running.

Please support us so we can continue to support veterans, the community, and country. 🇺🇸

In order to answer many of the questions we are getting in regards to membership and our organization, please see the following FAQ

1-There is no longer smoking inside the social quarters. There is a gazebo outside the entrance for smoking.

2- Fees
Yearly Membership Fees-
Legionnaires-$30
Sons - $15
Auxillary- $25
Social - $30

3- Currently we are not accepting more social members. This is a ratio based on legionnaires. If we have more become members, we will more than likely open up more social.

4-Eligibility
To be eligible for a Legionnaires Membership - If you have served at least one day of active military duty since December 7, 1941 and were honorably discharged or you are still serving active military duty honorably, you are eligible for membership with The American Legion.

To be eligible for Sons of the American Legion membership- All male descendants, adopted sons and stepsons of members of The American Legion, and such male descendants of veterans who died in service during World War I or since December 7, 1941, during the delimiting periods set forth in Article IV, Section 1, of the National Constitution of The American Legion or who died subsequent to their honorable discharge from such service, shall be eligible for membership in the Sons of The American Legion.

To be eligible for an Auxillary membership- Membership in The American Legion Auxiliary shall be limited to the grandmothers, mothers, sisters, Male or Female Spouse, and direct and adopted female descendants of members of The American Legion, and to the grandmothers, mothers, sisters, Male or Female Spouse, and direct and adopted female descendants of all men and women who were in the Armed Forces of the United States during any of the following periods: April 6, 1917, to November 11, 1918; and any time after December 7, 1941; or who, being citizens of the United States at the time of their entry therein, served on active duty in the Armed Forces of any of the governments associated with the United States during any of said periods, and died in the line of duty or after honorable discharge; and to those women who of their own right are eligible for membership in The American Legion.

A woman who is eligible for American Legion membership is eligible to join the American Legion Auxiliary regardless of whether or not she is a member of The American Legion. However, eligibility of her female relatives (sister, mother, direct decedents) depends upon her membership in The American Legion.

5- Applications can be picked up and any additional questions answered in person, downstairs at our social quarters during business hours. The entrance is on the west side of the building, if you ring the bell you will be buzzed in.

6-Social quarters is open to the general public during advertised events. (Bands, DJ, fundraisers, etc) see this page for advertisements.

I believe this covers the vast majority of questions. Thanks for the support and interest! Anything not answered here please continue to message us, call, or stop by to grab an application
