St. Paul's Episcopal Church and the Greater Holyoke Veteran's Lunch, along with the Veteran's Affairs Office in Holyoke, are sad and devastated to report that a break-in and theft occurred last week. This burglary, which resulted in significant items and assets, meant to benefit St. Paul's Day Care program and the Holyoke Veteran's Lunch program were stolen in a brazen heist. The stolen goods were meant for the benefit of children and our cherished Veterans, whom the Greater Holyoke Veteran's lunch proudly and enthusiastically services with a free lunch meal every Thursday 12:00pm β 1:30pm at their address on 485 Appleton Street in Holyoke.
No person was physically harmed, but the Church and Veteran's Lunch suffered significant losses of items and property that were all meant to be allocated to help fund and aid these wonderful charitable services. This crime is currently under investigation by the Holyoke Police Department.
In order to come together as a community, and to aid in the healing of the church and the Veteran's effected, as well as to right this grievous wrong committed upon St. Paul's Church, and The Greater Holyoke Veteran's lunch.... Holyoke Elk's Lodge #902 and Joe Prattico Sr., has generously donated their banquet hall to host a fundraiser pizza party event, going for $25 dollars per person which will be collected at the door, and free pizza from Amedeo's is included with your ticket purchase, along with delicious pasta and meatballs. There will be DJ music provided as well. Your presence and donations represent an opportunity to support an extraordinary yet grieving organization that gives so much to our children, community, and our veterans!
This event will take place at the Holyoke Elk's Lodge #902 located at 250 Whitney Ave Holyoke MA on Friday June 12th at 5:00pm to 9:00pm. Your $25 dollar donation will serve to show that the good people of the City of Holyoke, along with the heroes that make up our veteran community, are both appreciated and loved. TOGETHER, WE WILL RIGHT THIS WRONG!
