ATTN: Neighbors at The Residences on Hollywood Beach
Elections for members of the Board of Directors are taking place this month and will be completed by the election day, Thursday, April 5th., at 6:00 P.M. Your voting package should have already been mailed to you.
As fellow owners and residents at The Residences on Hollywood Beach, we would like to implore you to vote. Everyone should vote so we can reach “quorum numbers” required to have a legitimate election.
The building has not met the election quorum requirements for at least 5 years so the same handful of owners have just sat on the position year after year.
As an owner and/or resident, your choice for your representative should be heard. It does matter.
BEST OPTION: Vote in person on Thursday, April 5th at 6pm
OR follow the below rules to "mail in" your votes.
THE PROCEDURE to vote is the following:
• Select the candidates for whom you wish to vote and place an X in front of no more than 5 people on the ‘Ballot for electing Directors’. Put no other marks on this ballot page. Then,
• Fold the ballot pages with your (no more than 5) selected candidates and place it into the Ballot Envelope, seal it, and put no other marks on it. Then,
• Place the sealed Ballot Envelope into the Ballot Return Envelope, already self-addressed to the Residences. Then,
• Fill in your identifying information and signature in the designated lines, in the upper left corner of this Residences-addressed envelope. Seal it and return it.
If you do not have forms and cannot be here by April 5th, the forms and the above process for delivering your vote are included in your mailed packet and are available also through the office, 954 925 9416.
Our building manager, Steven Zamora, has promised he will have extra forms and packets available for owners.
We would like to be sure that enough people vote so our Board of Directors represents a TRUE election, and not just, simply, a reinstatement, year after year.
Please take the time to do this.
For the record, "the Office" refused to send these voting details to the building distribution list despite the fact that the process is very confusing and they have failed to reach "quorum" in many years.
Not sure why.
That being said it is being clarified here instead.
Please re-post and share.
