Tom's Old Bogies Established in 1928, it is truly a rare and unique gem to visit in NW WI!

Located along the beautiful Chippewa River in Northwestern Wisconsin, Tom's Old Bogies is the area's oldest tavern to have all of it's original interior and exterior log walls.

BOGIES 2021

To better coordinate running Chippewa River Custom Rods, while also offering Bogies Bar on a smaller scale, Bogies will NOT be open to the general public this year for bar, patio or river access.

Instead, the bar will be open on a limited basis for customer scheduled private party events, starting May 1st and dependent on Tom's availability.

We would love to host your private/scheduled event this year, with modified indoor seating at the bar and full patio garden seating.

We welcome birthday parties, small weddings, retirement celebrations, reunions, bachelor/bachelorette destination stops, fishing group facility use or other events. Suggestions are welcome!

All events must be booked in advance.

Leave a message @ 715-595-4710 if you are interested in booking an event, and we will return your call to discuss scheduling availability and details.

Hello Bogies Friends!

Hope you are enjoying this week's warm up!

I am happy to report it's been quite a busy winter for me at the rod business. I cannot thank everyone enough for that support!

As we approach spring - and since I won't be able to keep up with the workload for both Chippewa River Custom Rod and Old Bogies- I just wanted to let everyone know that I am planning to reserve business at the bar to SCHEDULED EVENTS ONLY for the coming spring/summer/fall seasons.

We are still in the planning stages for how that will work, so look for another post soon with more information on that end And as always, thank you for your ongoing support and friendship.

Sorry to announce I will be closing Bogies until further notice due to my close contact exposure to a Covid-19 symptomatic individual. I feel fine, but am testing to ensure I am not an asymptomatic carrier. In the meantime--with the closer contact, indoor nature of running business during these late fall/winter months, I do not wish to risk the health of my staff, customers or other close contacts. Log Cabin Bar on the Chippewa River.

Now featuring the original log cabin indoor bar and an outdoor seasonal garden patio bar overlooking the Chippewa River, Tom’s Old Bogies [or its earlier brand versions] has been in operation since 1928. It features reasonably priced drinks, including specialty tap beers from the Angry Minnow Brewery, and bar snacks/pizza. The bar offers its customers opportunity to enjoy private access to the Chippewa River for year-round recreational activities such as kayaking, fishing, and snowmobiling.
