It was this game, when I finally got to see my idol, the one man who I used to cut class and watch videos of in the library for a big game, the one person I always wanted to be like on the court, the no fear attitude, the trash talk, the in your face approach to make sure your opponent know you wasn’t going anywhere, today at work this news hit so hard but I’m happy to witnessed this greatness first hand, happy to have an idol who kept me out of the streets and jail, and I am a proud lakers fan, so laker nation we mourn but we will not forget our hero

They say an image says 1,000 words, in this first image of me the photo screams tired, overworked, defeated, angry, unhealthy, deteriorating, bitter, most importantly sad......this would be the day I quit my job, I left everything behind that I put so much care, so much love, so much hard work, I left it behind because what I thought was my dream was killing me, inside and out, so I did the one thing I could. I went on my own journey of figuring out why I do what I do and why I love it, along the way I went back to the drawing board, worked on techniques, new ideas, different practices, overall made myself better

The first image was a learning experience which I am truly grateful for, i put in work at some very popular places but I never found a place I call my home, until I left the confines of jersey and found my place in NYC

On the 2nd picture I look happy, confident, excited, and I can’t wait to see what 2020 has in store being apart of a bar team that wants to compete, learn, and push each other everyday to be better

Not only have I found myself in a new city, and a new home bar, I already have a cocktail on the menu dedicated to a man who changed my life about slinging drinks the late and to top it off I am a team leader this year where I’ll be with some of the best bartenders in the world helping raising money for a great cause and most importantly I’m happy

I’m thankful for every opportunity I was ever given in this industry, and genuinely love those I have met along my way

Where to begin......first time in Boston and I got to spend quality time with friends who became family, added some new family members, discovered a city I’ve never been to, learned a lot of cocktail history about Boston and the jack rose society, learned the process of making rum with the amazing , Cassidy was an amazing teacher and really helped me streamline the process for helping me better understand , Matt as well for giving us that awesome talk about Sochu! learning the process of blending Canadian whiskey with the folks or taking classes with the legendary and learning the process of running a huge event as big and as great as I couldn’t have done this without the help of our amazing captains and

and the entire team, thank you for starting this amazing program, not only did you help further my education but you also help me discover my thirst for education, and how important it is to know about our craft, and I can’t stop reading now, I’m excited to further my education with the WSET and become an even better leader to not only to my staff but my community as well, and falling in love with Boston didn’t hurt either! !

Most important I want to thank our sponsors that helped make all of this possible and helped us achieve one of the best experiences I have ever received you two are rockstars thanks for everything we couldn’t have done it without you as well
