Another small little job set up this morning. Posts are set, prepped and will be ready when we come back next week to finish this up. It will be a cute little 4’ tall French gothic spaced picket fence.

One of three split rails fence gates we had to add in a new support frame to fix the rack. Split rail gates are notorious for failing and this is a nice solution to help solve that issue.

Not a crazy job but it was def needed. We had three gates that just wouldn’t open or wouldn’t latch over. We swung out and ended up resetting two posts and pulling back two of the gate posts to allow the fence gates to have room for swing. But like any older spilt rail gate- they just don’t hold up after time. All three gates were sagging and racked. So we built in a new cedar frame and racked the gates back into place and then screwed it all together with some nice heavy duty structural screws to keep the split rail gate holding solid again. It’s a common spot for failure in split rails but we were able to re work the originals to make them functional again. Eventually the the new cedar 2x4’s will take on that old vintage western red cedar gray tones.

Peyton took the lead today and finished up this fence. It turned out great. 6’ dog ear pressure treated privacy. We assisted in the frame work and gate builds. It came out perfect and will be an amazing yard for this homeowner to enjoy.

The enjoyment. The commitment. The desire. This was such a rewarding project. We fought off the pesky yellow jackets. For everything ready and today we finished this beautiful new cedar privacy fence. The homeowner was just overjoyed and you could see it and feel it when they stepped out of the house to chat with us a little bit. This fence provides such a warm feeling that will inevitably provide a lot of enjoyment.

20 years in this business and it never gets old seeing a fence rise from nothing to absolute perfection! Not everyone takes the time and opportunity to step back and look at the growth. For this homeowner, it’s a small step in their journey in the new house. A place where the kids and pets can play care free. This is such a great way to make the home feel more secure and safe. A beautiful convex cedar picket fence.

When you turn a yard into a place of relaxation and peace you know you’ve done it right. This was a job that was passed over by others because they didn’t want to contend with the underground utilities that were inevitably going to be in the fence line. We championed the work! Made it happen. And made it beautiful. Not only that, but we did a long blend through the swale to keep the fence line smooth and clean along the top (not such a pinched lineal look) while still countering the dip in the yard. Not only that, but we went ahead and added in some drain tile and river rock to allow water flow for any potential draining that might run through the swale. It turned out great and has such a clean look. Classic, clean and still functional. We went steps beyond what others would even consider doing and then we exceeded that by adding in the drain tile work and reverse blend.

A little chain link tear out and a new set for an eventual 6’ tall wood privacy fence. The city got there and have the approval for the holes and we got it set right after. It was a busy day. Tear out, set and then off to another job on the opposite side of town to get one boarded up. Just in time for the holiday weekend

Another jam packed day to get things rolling on this Friday. This is a beautiful 6’ cedar privacy that we finished up today. We set posts for a fence in Decatur this morning and once we got that approved by the city we set it, prepped it and got to this job to get it done before the holiday weekend
