Seeking help from Hinesburgers!

The proposed zoning change to RR1 increasing subdivision requirement lot size from 3-acres to 12-acres has wide implications for future development and landowners within Hinesburg. If implemented, this change will drastically reduce available land for future housing - this is extremely counterproductive given that housing has been identified as a top priority within Vermont and specifically Hinesburg! Follow the link below to add your signature to a petition to let the Selectboard know that the change is not supported.

Current Development Review Board restrictions and the geography of the land already dictate how the land can be divided. Please help us prevent the change to the zoning as it will only serve to make the cost of purchasing one of those lots sky high in today's real estate market. Help us keep the zoning at 3 acres - or better yet, reduce it to 1 acre - so that Hinesburg can offer some reasonable real estate in the future that would be independent from the overburdened Town water/wastewater system.

Congrats to buck pool winners: 1st Adam Lafountain, 2nd Tim Brown, 3rd Heidi Vincent. with transition of pub we are trying to figure out how to keep a weigh station in Hinesburg next year…in the meantime - if you have any pictures with us from the last three years & would like them please let me know!

Saturday was our last night as the OG Bucky's crew - Tony, Ruchel & Alix. In May 2019 we bought the former Travia's and decided it might be fun to run it for a bit. Hunting is in our heritage and with our desire to be a big game weigh-in station we landed on the name Bucky's and brought our 7-point mascot (who happens to be a native Hinesburger!) down to watch over the bar. We opened in August 2019 and over the past three years have been truly blessed to build some amazing memories and friendships.

Thankful for the many friendships that Bucky's has allowed us to form. Family friendly was important to us and we've been so tickled to have several kiddos as part of our regular visitors, we'll miss giving out ice cream sandwiches to them! Also thankful for those that allowed us to play a part hosting birthdays, retirements, graduations and memorials - we loved the celebrations.

We'll miss you all 😘but there's a good chance we'll catch up with you there on occasion! Watch for details soon about the 'new Bucky's' - expanded hours, days and menu. Love you, now "say goodnight David!"
