If you haven’t heard (or tasted), fall has arrived at Spencer’s Tavern 🍂🍷

Chef Peter and the team have welcomed the season with a new menu featuring crispy Carolina oysters with smoked corn soubise, butternut squash tart with country ham and caramelized onions, and wild mushroom ragout over heirloom cheddar grits. You’ll also find herb-roasted turkey roulade and herb-crusted lamb loin, among other seasonal favorites.

Experience the flavors of fall at Spencer’s Tavern, nestled inside The Colonial Inn in historic downtown Hillsborough.

A quick reminder: We’re offering a limited menu today and will be closed tomorrow, Saturday, for a private event. We look forward to welcoming you back Sunday and Monday!

A slight change to our schedule this week.

While our doors will be closed today, we look forward to welcoming you back to Spencer’s Tavern tomorrow, Friday, from 4–9 PM, with a limited dinner menu. Please note that we will also be closed Saturday as we host a private event.

Due to severe weather in the area and a tornado watch in effect until 5 PM, Spencer’s Tavern will be opening at 5 PM today instead of our usual 4 PM.

Thursday’s looking a little more like fall 🍂🍎

Our new fall menu makes its debut this Thursday at Spencer’s Tavern, bringing the flavors of the season to the table. Think butternut squash, roasted pears, sweet potato, apple c***r, cranberry, maple and plenty of fall spice.

And dessert deserves its own moment. Sweet Potato Maple Cheesecake, Spiced Apple Upside Down Cake, Roasted Peach Cobbler Tart and Bourbon Apple Crisp ice cream are all joining the lineup.
