Today marks the final day of Lemongrass.
Last night was sleepless, and I spent the hours reflecting on the blessings we still have even in the most unbearable of circumstances.
My wife is still standing beside me — and that alone is a blessing beyond words. Our oldest son came home from college this weekend, and having him here means everything.
To the staff who held this restaurant together with hard work and integrity — thank you. A special shoutout to Marisa, who at such a young age showed up day after day and did whatever it took to keep things working.
To my kitchen crew — Gerson, Patrick, Alex, Christopher, and Josshua — with minimal training or supervision, you created a consistently great product all summer. Jean, who had never bartended before, now looks like an old pro. Leslie, despite running her own business and raising a family, came in with help and experience whenever needed.
To all the seasonal and part-time staff who came through this summer — thank you.
To the friends and family who picked us up and supported us when I know it wasn’t easy — thank you.
To our loyal customers — thank you for your business and for believing in what we were creating.
We still have food left, and we would love to see you one last time today
