John's Tavern The Oldest Beer Joint In Hickory John's Tavern is the Oldest beer joint in Hickory. A former RR depot turned bar in the late 50's. Owned by the Lippard family since 1976.

It's the most successful beer joint in Catawba County. The history of it is still being told.

It's that time of year we show our respects to all of our Fallen Heroes who sacrificed all and paid the ultimate price for each of us to live Free.
