Today I went a little bit south to northern Alabama. I did a smoked beer can chicken. I will not give away my secrets but it wasn’t beer in the can but it was done in the smoker. To make this complete, I made Alabama White Sauce. You must always keep an open mind ( and mouth) to different BBQ. This made a wonderful change to smoked chicken. If you want yours , just let us know and we can make it happen.

We entered a chili cook off competition last weekend. I am happy to say we won Most Creative chili. This was partly cooked in an open cast iron Dutch oven in my Kamado Joe cooker. It added a nice smoky flavor to my 6 bean, 5 meat chili. Who says that chili has to just be kidney beans and burger (or chicken).
