🇺🇸 D-DAY – 82 YEARS OF REMEMBRANCE 🇺🇸
Today, we honor the brave Allied soldiers who stormed the beaches of Normandy on June 6, 1944. Facing impossible odds, they advanced into history and helped secure the freedoms we enjoy today.
More than 156,000 Allied troops took part in the invasion. Many never returned home. Others carried the memories and scars of that day for the rest of their lives.
As members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, we remember not only their victory, but also their sacrifice. Their courage, selfless service, and commitment to one another remain an example for every generation that follows.
On this 82nd Anniversary of D-Day, we pause to reflect on the cost of freedom and pay tribute to those who answered their nation’s call when the world needed them most.
We remember their sacrifice.
We honor their courage.
We preserve their legacy.
Never Forget.
