Super Easyyy Homemade Corn Dogs
Ingredients :
1 cup yellow cornmeal
1 cup flour
¼ tsp. salt
⅛ tsp. pepper

Chow Chow (Old Fashioned)
Ingredients
1 small cabbage, chopped
6 to 8 green or red tomatoes, chopped
6 medium bell peppers, chopped
6 large onions, chopped
2 hot peppers, chopped
3 cups sugar
5 cups white vinegar
1/4 cup salt or pickling salt
How To Make CHOW CHOW
Put all ingredients in a large pot and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and cook for 20 to 25 minutes or until desired tenderness is achieved.
This recipe is designed to be put in pint jars and sealed. Makes 8 to 9 pints. But you could cut recipe down to use for one night of dinner.

Dear Facebook Friends,
I would like to share information about an event that is taking place this Saturday, September 14, 2012. Villa Rosa Italian Food & Steak is hosting a yard sale fundraiser to help out the Family Crisis Center Homeless Shelter located in Herrin, Illinois. It has come to our attention to recent budget cuts in federal and state funding the Family Crisis Center Homeless Shelter is struggling to keep its doors open. If this homeless shelter were to close it would be a great tragedy. This shelter has been open for approximately 27 years. They have served many people during this time not only to house them but to give them the tools and the connections to go back out in to the community and thrive. The Family Crisis Center opens their doors to many local individuals and families as well as those in the surrounding communities. They receive several calls on a daily basis from people who have no home and nowhere to go. The Family Crisis Center is an 8 bedroom facility which is almost always full to capacity. They take in Families, Couples and Single individuals.
Several business in the community donate to the Family Crisis Center such as Villa Rosa Italian Food & Steak, Coloni’s Bar & Grill, Helleney’s Furniture, Krogers, KFC’s, Pizza Hut, and Bryan’s Furniture, just to name a few. Not to mention several churches and individuals. The family Crisis Center relies on donations to keep their doors open in order to help those in crisis. A couple of months ago we held a Yard Sale fundraiser at Villa Rosa and raised $ 1,200.00 dollars. The people in our community donated several items to the Crisis Center during the past few months. Many of the donated items that the house did not need or the individuals staying there did not need will be placed into the yard sale in order to raise money to help the Family Crisis Center. Our goal this Saturday is to raise $ 2,000.00 dollars. We have so many items donated we feel this can be a realistic goal. The prices will be very affordable so people in the community will benefit from what they will receive. We are very excited and hope that this will be a success.
With your help we hope to get the word out and make this fundraiser a success. We hope to help the Family Crisis Center Homeless Shelter help others. Thank you for taking the time to listen and we hope that you will consider helping us and sharing what we are doing with your friends.

Villa rosa Italian Food & Steak will stay open starting Sept 14th on Friday & Sat. till 4am we will be serving breakfast and other foods after 10pm. Walk over after the bars close and have some food and coffee. Sober up and drive home safe.
