We received a fake $100 bill last night as payment for some to-go food. It passed all of the normal tests that we use to check the authenticity of bills. The security strip was there and the markers used to check for fakes did not indicate it wasn’t real. I told the customer I thought something felt off about it and she assured me it was real. I should have listened to my gut though, because it was in fact a fake. I’m putting this message out there so that other business owners can be aware that they are floating around being used and to use your gut if you think something is off. I also know exactly who the person was who used it so if any other business owners want to be made aware of who is using them and not lose $100 just let me know. ** After making the deposit from our sales last night the bank called our GM to notify us that we had a counterfeit $100, that’s how we know **
