Lamb-Weston came to Hermiston in 1971 and has been one of the area's largest employers ever since. If you've ever had a french fry — there's a good chance Hermiston had something to do with it!

Earlier this week we asked about one of the more controversial moments in Hermiston history — the city slogan that had everyone talking back in 2013.

The answer is C) "You Can GROW Here!" 🌱

The slogan was met with some strong opinions around town, to be sure. 😄 Either way, Hermiston went back to the drawing board and in 2016 unveiled the slogan we all know and love today — "Where Life is Sweet." And this time, they made sure to include a watermelon. 🍉
