This type of cuisine is a hodgepodge of international influences: African, French, English, and Caribbean alike. Fresh seafood is always on the menu and of course, some Lowcountry staples like She-Crab Soup and the elegant Shrimp & Grits. Common with most Southern cuisines, Lowcountry is comfort food, best eaten in the warm familiarity of someone’s home. Which is why The Lantern found its home in

the beautiful historic Charleston Inn, located in downtown Hendersonville. The Charleston Inn was an excellent launching point for The Lantern because of its rich history with the “low country” of South Carolina. "We want The Lantern Restaurant & Bar to be a place that brings people together and supports the local community. We treat you like family, and feed you that way too!
