Meet two of the talented people behind the scenes helping shape the future of Portalupi: Tim and Jason, members of our winemaking team who are getting ready to bottle the next vintage of Barbera at our new winery in Sebastopol.

For us, winemaking has always been about more than what ends up in the bottle. It’s about honoring the traditions, character, and soul of Italian wine while embracing the place we call home. It’s the passion, patience, and countless decisions along the way that bring a wine from vineyard to glass.

As we prepare to bottle this next vintage, we’re incredibly excited to share a little more of the people and passion behind Portalupi, and to invite you along as we step into this next era.

Harvest is underway, and we’re taking a moment to highlight Stonewall Ranch, the exceptional vineyard site that is home to our Sangiovese Grosso.

The 2024 vintage showcased the character of this remarkable site, earning our Sangiovese Grosso Best of Class at the Press Democrat North Coast Wine Competition.

As the new vintage begins, we’re excited to watch another season unfold in the vineyard and see what Stonewall Ranch will bring us this year.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for Paint Night at Portalupi! It was such a joy to see our tasting room filled with creativity, laughter, good wine, and even better company. We’re so grateful to everyone who came out and made the evening so special.

And, of course, a very heartfelt thank you to Rich Bennett for continuing to share his incredible talent, enthusiasm, and passion for bringing creativity into our community. Your ability to make art feel approachable, fun, and inspiring is truly something special.

We love creating spaces where people can slow down, connect, try something new, and simply enjoy being together and nights like this are exactly why we do it.

Join DRNK Wines and Daughter’s Dahlias & Blooms for an unforgettable evening of wine, flowers, and creativity set within the stunning wine caves and terrace. The experience begins with a cave tour and guided tasting led by DRNK founder, Katie Kunde. Guests will explore the winery’s underground caves while sampling a selection of DRNK’s newest summer releases. Following the tasting, local dahlia grower and sustainable florist Jenny Tamayo of Daughter’s Dahlias & Blooms will share an engaging introduction to the world of dahlias, covering their remarkable diversity, growing tips, and seasonal care. Jenny will then demonstrate the art of bouquet design, offering step-by-step instruction on creating a naturally styled arrangement and the elegant wrap technique that completes the presentation. Guests will then have the opportunity to select from buckets of freshly harvested dahlias and lush seasonal foliage to create their own one-of-a-kind wrapped bouquet. All materials are provided, and the Daughter’s Dahlias & Blooms team will be on hand to offer guidance and assistance throughout the workshop. Whether you’re a wine enthusiast, flower lover, or simply looking for a unique wine country experience, this intimate workshop offers the perfect blend of education and creativity.

Tonight, we’re heading to Sonoma County Vintners Pour + Explore: Four Valleys at Paradise Ridge Winery alongside 30+ incredible Sonoma County wineries for an evening of wine, sunsets, art, cheese, charcuterie, and all the good things that make this community so special.

Join us from 5:30–7:30pm as we pour Portalupi favorites and celebrate the diversity of Alexander Valley, Dry Creek Valley, Knights Valley, and Russian River Valley all in one place. Still blushing from all the fun 💕🥂

Yesterday’s Pink Party at Barn Diva was everything we love…bubbles, laughter, and a whole lot of pink. We had the best time pouring our Arrossire di Barbera Méthode Champenoise and celebrating in true Italian style… because let’s be honest, everything is better with a little sparkle and a lot of amore ✨
