Just tasted Center of Effort 2013 PInot Noir from Edna Valley. Just 4.5 miles from the Pacific on very unique soils. Very cool climate and the wine shows tons of character. Definitely not your Russian River Pinot!

Saturday I tried STARKEY'S COURT 2007 Chardonnay, Carneros, Green Acres Vineyard $25. Wow, such a mouthful of pleasure! Everything is all there, ready to enjoy, without a high price tag. These guys have a sense of humor, too.
