August was probably the hardest month for me to get through. Saying goodbye to you, knowing I will never get to see you again deeply effected me.
I want to thank each of you for the joy, laughter, and different perspectives you have given me. I went into this needing/wanting to meet more people and all of you exceeded my hopes. I have had so much fun these past thirteen years and it's all because of you. Thank you.

September 20th is the last day I will make sales. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING has to go. Wine Racks, empty wooden wine boxes, chairs.... you get the picture.

If you haven't yet, stop by and let's bid each other a fond goodbye and "thanks for the memories."

It is with great sadness I announce The Wine Cave will be permanently closing in September.
With the exception of a few items, everything will be sold including the wine racks and the bar.
My time with the Cave has been the best years so far, and it's because of all the fun and joy you have brought into my life. I will miss all of you.

Yesterday was International Music Day, and Sean Okamoto came to play out on my deck. I got to watch Sean bring such joy to people's faces with his music and it really brought home to me just how important our local musicians are to that "thing" that makes Hayward so special.
Thanks Sean, and thanks for singing "Wildfire."

I will be closed today, 4 Dec 2024. This little guy was rushed to the vet Monday and has Acute Hemorrhagic Diarrhea Syndrome. He needs to eat to regain strength to live and I have to feed him tiny amounts every 90 minutes. He's 50-50 survival and I'm hoping to tilt the odds in "life's" favor.

I made it through!!!!
COVID is (hopefully) in the rear view mirror for me and it's time for conversations, laughter and tasting amazing wines and spirits.
Summer hours Monday thru Saturday, 10 to 4:30.

I have COVID.....
I'm glad I got it now when the virus has mutated down to pretty much a bad flu; and so far I thought I had the flu.
I started feeling bad Saturday, June 4th and took a home test that morning, which was negative. I posted a note on the door because I knew I wouldn't be open the first part of this week while I dealt with the flu.
Then today (June 7th) I took another test and it came back positive. I'll be closed until my symptoms clear up. Heads up to those who visited me from the third week in May to the 4th of June.
I'm doing fine. Lot's of soup, tea, water, Tylenol and Kleenex.
