You know what time it is? It’s time to tumble outta bed, pour yourself a cup of ambition, and get on down to the theater, because 9 to 5 The Musical is coming!
We are taking y'all straight back to the late 1970s—the fabulous era of the Rolodex! Based on the 1980 hit movie, this little story is all about friendship, a little bit of revenge, and three fierce ladies—Violet, Judy, Doralee—who are finally pushed to the boiling point.
What do they do? Well, they concoct a hilarious plan to get even with that sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot they call a boss! While Mr. Hart is, shall we say, "otherwise engaged," these women give their workplace a dream makeover and take control of the company that kept them down for so long. Hey, a girl can scheme, can't she? 😉
It's outrageous, it's thought-provoking, and it's even a little romantic. It’s got a brilliant book by Patricia Resnick, and music and lyrics written by Dolly Parton! 🎶✨
