Our Grandfather, John O’Brien, founded Roache & O’Brien in 1933 after immigrating to the U.S. from County Mayo, Ireland. For the past 91 years he, followed by our father, Fran O’Brien and most recently our mother, Sally O’Brien and our family have owned and operated the bar with the goal of making it a comfortable place for people in the community to gather, socialize and enjoy themselves.
In early May we will bring this chapter in our family’s history to a close.
Fortunately, we have found a great person in Dan Clark and his team to write the next chapter. We wish Dan and his team all the best and are confident they will have great success.
While the sale comes with mixed emotions we are filled with a tremendous amount of gratitude.
Gratitude to our patrons who have become friends and family. You have kept us afloat through the highs and lows and for that we are forever grateful. We appreciate you allowing us to celebrate good times with you and get through tough times. We will cherish the memories we have shared together forever.
Gratitude to our staff both current and past. We thank you for your service, your loyalty, your commitment and your friendship. We have been a team and you have become part of our family. We would not have been able to do it without you.
Both our patrons and staff have made Roache & O’Brien a special place. Thank you!
We encourage you to visit us during our final weekend which will be April 26-28th. We will close after the 28th to prepare for the sale.
Please stay tuned for Dan’s plans to reopen which will take place during the week of May 6th.
Thank you!
The O’Brien Family
