What an incredible weekend! A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the 23rd Annual Lake Arbutus Carp Fest another success.
This year’s event brought out 11 teams, with 240 carp caught! 🎣

A special thank you to everyone who volunteered their time, purchased tickets, donated raffle items, worked behind the scenes, helped count fish, sold raffle and 50/50 tickets, worked at DeerView, provided entertainment, and came out to support Carp Fest.
We’d also like to recognize Hatfield Sports Shop, Mel, Ashley, Leah, Marie, Brad, Scott, Ricky, Ron, Randy, and Tipsy Tiki/Riviera (Ashley & Pat) for their extra help- from raffle donations, ticket sales, fish counting, and everything else that helped make the weekend a success.
Events like this wouldn’t be possible without the support of our amazing community. Carp Fest raised approximately $5,000, with proceeds going toward community projects throughout the Hatfield and Jackson/Clark County area.
Lastly, I’d like to give a very special thank you to my mom, Lori Bixby. While many people see the fun of Carp Fest, few see the countless hours of work that go into making it happen. From gathering raffle prizes, selling tickets, coordinating entertainment and food, creating posters, setting everything up, and handling all of the behind-the-scenes details, Lori puts in an incredible amount of time and effort each year to make this event a success.
