Shopping, hiking, golfing, tennis and exploring are all available within a short car ride. Five miles away down the Hancock Point road is a quiet summer colony that offers one of Maine’s most beautiful panoramic coastal views and is great for both sunrises and sunsets. A 20 minute drive to the north brings you to a 32,000 acre conservation preserve offering ponds and trails. Ironbound is a 35 minute drive to Bar Harbor; 25 minutes to Winter Harbor;10 minutes from Ellsworth. 1 hour from Bangor; 3 hours from Portland. Convenient to everything, but just far enough away. Maine lodging at it’s best. For a complete Ironbound experience, stay with us in one of our inn inviting guest rooms and have a wonderful dinner with us. It will be an experience you will treasure. That’s a wrap! The 2026 season at Ironbound has come to an end. Winter hibernation is underway. We thank all of you for carrying us through another year with loving community support. Bringing people together is our goal with great food, drink and good company. You all have made it possible. See you in May 2027. Carry on! Protect those you love!

The coffee is hot. The Benedict’s await you. The lemon curd blueberry pancakes are the bomb. Parfaits to please. Corned beef hash made from scratch. Scramble bowls like no other. Nice on the patio. Or all in.

Rain! Well, that is a bummer. But all the more reason to get online and place an order for pickup at our Garden Cafe! Yummy egg sandwiches on buttery house-made biscuits. Cinnamon buns to die for. Breakfast taco. Eggplant parm or chicken parm pockets. Lobster BLT’s filled to the brim! Coffee by Design coffee!
