We just want to start by saying thank you to everyone who’s reached out, called, texted, and checked on us. It really means a lot. Thankfully no one was inside when it happened and everyone is safe. That’s what matters most.
We’re not gonna lie… this one hurts. We were just weeks away from opening Ricky’s. Seeing something you’ve poured this much time, money, and energy into get hit like this is tough. Straight up.
But we’re not the type to fold. This place means a lot to us, and we know it’s gonna mean a lot to Hammond too. We will rebuild and come back even better than before.
Huge thank you to the Hammond Fire Department for everything they did. They showed up fast and handled it. If it wasn’t for them things could’ve been way worse. Also a big thank you to Ponchatoula Fire Department and Natalbany Fire Department for coming out to assist and help get everything under control.
We know there’s been a lot of talk and speculation going around about what caused the fire. The truth is, we don’t have those answers yet. The fire is currently under investigation, and we’re letting the proper authorities do their job and figure everything out the right way. Until then, we just ask everyone to be patient and respectful as we work through this.
We’ll keep y’all updated as we move forward. Ricky’s isn’t going anywhere. We’ll be back ❤️
