On February 19, 1945, United States Marines stormed the black sands of Iwo Jima in one of the fiercest battles of World War II. For 36 days, courage, sacrifice, and relentless determination defined what it means to be a Marine.

The iconic flag raising atop Mount Suribachi became a symbol of grit, unity, and unwavering commitment to mission.

Today, we remember the Marines and Sailors who fought, those who gave their lives, and the legacy they carried forward.

The sons of the American Legion Behler Hein Post 637 will be holding a Cheesesteak night on January 23rd 2026. The last time they did this, it sold out, so come early. They are delicious. Come in and enjoy a nice Hot Cheesesteak and Fries on a winter night. Rick will be manning the grill along with the rest of the Squadron. Danni will be behind the bar again, for those who did not get to see her on her last visit. Open to the Public from 5 to 8 or when the food runs out. Hope To See You There!!!
