🍯 What’s the domino effect of importing fake honey? 🐝

🍯 Fake honey hits the market at artificially low prices.

⬇️ Beekeepers can’t compete with prices.

⬇️ To stay in business, continental US companies are forced to migrate their colonies to the largest managed pollination in the world… CA almond pollination. A monocrop sprayed with tons of pesticides that needs tons of water to grow.

⬇️ The industry needs 2 million bee colonies per year, equaling 80% of all commercial beekeeper colonies.

This is unsustainable for many reasons!

Instead of buying cheap adulterated honey…

🐝 Check out your local farmers market & talk with a local beekeeper!

🍯 Ask where they put their hives, THEN do your own research on the surrounding 1–5 miles for major agriculture or farms spraying pesticides.

💛 Thanks for taking this matter seriously!

Inspired by my Central American ancestors who would preserve 🍄 in 🍯 — The Mushroom Honey collection was my first 🍯 collection. After spending a season in Guatemala at Fungi Academy I became obsessed with mushrooms and their health benefits/ benefits to our earth. An experience I’ll never forget!!
Which 🍯 would you try?
