Today is a great reminder that sometimes, the simplest gesture can mean the most.

A hug can say “Thank you.”
“I’m glad you’re here.”
“You’re not alone.”
Or simply… “It’s good to see you.”

At the American Legion, we know that , , and looking out for one another are at the heart of what makes our communities strong.

So today, give a veteran, a fellow Legionnaire, a friend, or someone who could use a little a big ol’ hug. 🤗

Because sometimes, a little kindness goes a long way.

25 years ago, our country and the world changed forever.
Today, we honor the 2,977 lives lost on Sept. 11, 2001. We remember the families who lost loved ones, the selfless service of the first responders, and the countless heroes who stepped forward to help when our country needed them the most.

As we remember the tragic events of 9/11, we are also reminded of the strength, courage, and compassion that brought Americans together. Twenty-five years later, that spirit remains a part of who we are.

We remember those we lost. We honor those who served. And we will never forget.
