We had to call in a little overnight rain just to cool things down!

After two incredible days of blues, barbecue, and unforgettable performances, our stage and festival grounds were getting so hot and funky that we were afraid they might spontaneously combust. So we figured a little overnight shower was in order.

Don't worry—it didn't cool things off all that much.

The rain is moving out, a beautiful day is ahead, and Closing Day of the Broad Street Blues & BBQ Festival is shaping up to be one for the books!

The festival grounds open today at 2:00 PM, with live music beginning at 2:30 PM featuring the Reed's Temple Church Choir, followed by:

Toronzo Cannon has the fireworks contained to the stage for about another hour. At 9:15 the actual fireworks take to the sky. If you’re not here, you’re missing out!

Day 2 is off to a rocking start thanks to Donna Herula.

The temps are comfortable, the bbq is hot, the drinks are cold and we’ve got an amazing line up of music, a bbq competition, and fireworks tonight.

What an incredible Opening Day!

Yesterday's kickoff of the Broad Street Blues & BBQ Festival exceeded every expectation, and we simply want to say thank you.

From the phenomenal performances on stage to the outstanding work of our stage and sound crews, from the world-class barbecue and incredible food vendors to the dedicated volunteers and festival staff who worked tirelessly behind the scenes, Opening Day showcased everything that makes this festival one of Northwest Indiana's premier summer events.

Most of all, thank you to the record-breaking crowd that filled Griffith's Central Park to celebrate great music, amazing food, and an unforgettable community experience. Your energy and enthusiasm made Day One one for the history books.

And now it's time for Day Two!

In just a few hours, the festival returns as the gates open at 2:00 PM, with live music beginning at 2:30 PM featuring Donna Herula.

Rest assured, the 2026 Broad Street Blues and BBQ Festival is starting today at 4:30 PM as scheduled!

Thankfully, we were spared any damage from yesterday’s storms, and Central Park is in great shape. The park is looking as good as ever, the stage is being finalized, and many of our vendors are already in place and cooking up some incredible food.

If your plans to visit us include traveling down I-80/94, please be advised that the exit to Cline Avenue South is closed for maintenance. What were the chances, right?!

The weather this weekend looks to be as amazing as our blues artists, BBQ, and the wide variety of sweet and savory foods and cold drinks being served throughout Griffith’s Central Park, located at 600 N. Broad Street in Griffith, Indiana.

And yes, the food lineup is stacked.

BBQ vendors include Big Daddy’s BBQ, Deon’s BBQ, Doc’s Smokehouse, Piggy’s & A Chicken, Rockin’ Robbins BBQ, and The House of Brisket from Paris, Illinois.

Other amazing food vendors include Ben’s Soft Pretzels, Big Frank’s Sausage, Bite Unapologetic Indulgence, Bub’s Burrito Bowls, Bub’s Spuds, Cecil Street Food, Crown Creamery, Decadent Flavor, Eledonna Concessions, Flako’s Tacos, Four Little Lemons, GRCC - Burgers N More, House of Garlic, Huc’s Ste Marie Concessions, One 13 North, Sizzlebox, Taste of Caribbean and Beyond, The Boba Bar & Boutique, and Ay Chihuahua.

TOMORROW IT BEGINS!

The wait is finally over! The Broad Street Blues & BBQ Fest kicks off tomorrow, Friday, June 12, launching an unforgettable three-day celebration of incredible live music, mouthwatering food, and family-friendly fun in Griffith’s Central Park.

While tomorrow marks Opening Day, the festival continues all weekend long through Sunday, June 14 with an outstanding lineup of nationally recognized blues artists and some of the best food vendors in the region.

In just two days, Griffith's beautiful Central Park will once again be transformed into one of Northwest Indiana's premier outdoor music and food destinations.

The Broad Street Blues & BBQ Festival is a celebration built around two timeless traditions: world-class blues music and exceptional barbecue. Featuring nationally and internationally recognized blues artists alongside some of the Region's favorite performers, the festival offers an unforgettable soundtrack all weekend long.

Equally impressive is the incredible lineup of barbecue vendors serving everything from slow-smoked brisket and ribs to pulled pork, smoked chicken, specialty creations, and delicious sides. Add in sweet treats, cold beverages, and unique food offerings throughout the park, and there's something for everyone to enjoy.
