In the summer of 1983, McMenamins opened its first pub. We had no idea then that it would unleash a whirlwind of beer, fun, music and so, so much more. 43 years later, our taps are still flowing, the Grateful Dead is still bumping and the party isn't over yet!

We're celebrating 43 amazing, trippy, beer-filled years with a day of specials across the land and a just-for-fun Passport stamp. Join us and raise a glass to where we've been and where we're headed next.

And yes… we’re celebrating on June 20th the only way we know how with food specials, drink specials, cake, and a Passport stamp to prove you were part of it.

If you’ve never been, Highland Pub & Brewery is a little gem out in Gresham. The beer is brewed just steps from your table, the tanks are the real deal (with a bit more modern plumbing than their 1700s inspiration), and there’s even a psychedelic-Italianate chandelier hanging overhead that deserves its own moment.

Basically: it’s got history, character, and a pint that doesn’t have far to travel.

Highland Pub is turning 38… and honestly, it’s aging pretty well 🍻🎉

Join us Saturday, June 20, 2026 for an all-day celebration featuring food & drink specials, cake, and a Passport stamp (because of course there’s a Passport stamp).

A little history while you’re here:
This pub’s been brewing beer in the ‘burbs of Gresham since the beginning, with stainless steel fermenters originally from England’s Whitbread Brewery (yes, that Whitbread). Add in a psychedelic-Italianate chandelier sibling to the ones at Crystal Ballroom, and you’ve basically got a brewery with main character energy.

Beer brewed steps away. Cake definitely not optional. Good vibes guaranteed.

Sabertooth Haze IPA is back 🎸🍺✨

Our seasonal favorite hazy IPA has returned to taps and cans, ready to soundtrack your summer all over again.

Created by the Crystal Brewery in collaboration with the Edgefield Brewery, Sabertooth was brewed to capture the spirit of the Annual Sabertooth Psychedelic Rock Micro Fest. It's bold, vibrant, and just the right amount of trippy.

Expect aromas of citrus and ripe papaya, a smooth, pillowy mouthfeel, and resinous flavors of juicy tropical fruit in every sip.

The haze has officially returned. Time to raise one to the rock of past and present.

Oregon Wine Month is in full swing, which means rotating Edgefield wines, all-day happy hour pricing, and plenty of “okay wait… this might be my new favorite” moments.

AND now entering the ring for their debut: Super Ligero Mexican Lager!

Crisp, clean, refreshing, and dangerously easy to keep ordering when the weather’s nice. Plus the can art absolutely looks absolutely amazing.

33rd State IPA has returned! Light, crisp, and packed with those classic PNW vibes. Think grapefruit, fresh pine, citrus, a little tropical fruit, and that perfectly balanced bitter finish.
