Balance the Wave Events New 3rd Friday contra series at the Guiding Star Grange, Greenfield, MA. All dances taught, no partner needed.

Featuring: local & touring bands, Community Code of Conduct, gender-free calling, and a fun inclusive environment that supports new dancers.

SO MANY THANKS to all the dancers (experienced and new) who came out on this cool, breezy summer evening. Thanks to our 12+ volunteers who helped make the magic happen. Thanks to the folks who welcomed and danced with newcomers. Thanks to those who brought treats and iced tea to our tea party. Thanks to sound tech work from George Marshall and Rose Jackson. We Did It!!! Joy Factor, Hannah Johlas, guest caller Mo Brachfeld, 3 sets with the Back Row Band and Gumby Falk on sound helped us to honor his legacy of "traditions and innovations" in true David Kaynor fashion! This JOY-filled community dance raised over $1,660 to support Grange repairs. Thanks to every volunteer, dancer, musician, caller and baker! Joy, Joy, Joy!!
