THURS SEPT 11 (6:00-7:00PM): Ice Cream! The Greenbelt Rotary Club is hosting an end of summer ice cream social on Thursday, September 10 from 6 to 7 PM on the The New Deal Cafe patio, so come have a sweet frozen treat on us. Non-dairy options will be available. The club thanks the New Deal for making their space available. The Cafe will be open, so feel free to order a meal from the Cafe and join us for dessert.

The Greenbelt Rotary Club meets every Thursday at 8 a.m. at the Greenway Center IHOP at 8 a.m. Your first breakfast is on us!

Lend a hand, keep the music flowing! 🎶 We need a few awesome folks to sign up for a shift (or two!) at the New Deal Cafe—working the front counter, washing dishes, bussing tables, and running food to hungry guests. It’s a great way to pitch in, meet your fellow Cafe folks, and help keep our busy music nights running smoothly. Grab a shift and be part of the magic! ❤️

When restaurant management changes hands, a lot of things can change—but we’re so grateful that she chose to stay! Her familiar smile, great service, and wonderful energy mean so much to our guests and to all of us.

Thank you for being part of our team, for believing in us, and for helping make this next chapter a great one. We’re lucky to have you behind the bar! 🥂✨ Be sure to tip her well and often when you can. She deserves it!

There's probably no better place to celebrate Labor Day than Greenbelt's New Deal Cafe! ❤️

On Monday, Sept. 7 from 2–4 PM, The DC Labor Chorus brings its powerful voices—and invites YOU to join in—for a Labor Day Concert & Sing-Along!

Founded and directed by longtime cultural worker Elise Bryant, the DC Labor Chorus sings for solidarity, peace, jobs, justice… and JOY!

And the setting couldn't be more perfect. Greenbelt itself was born out of FDR's New Deal, built around ideas of cooperation, community and a better life for working people. So let's celebrate that spirit the best way we know how:
