We are ready for the Badger Bash!

Here’s what to expect at our place today:
—special Wisconsin-y game day menu
—biergarten games
—limited Badger Bash brewery tees for sale
—beer flowing like the mighty Mississippi
—small fee to park in our lot and be close to the action
—great viewing spot for the parade, music and fireworks

**Please Note: until 4:30 today, our Broadway entrance will be blocked off and you’ll have to head down Walnut and get into our lot via Pearl St. After 4:30, we will block off Pearl and you should use Broadway to enter our lot. Thanks for understanding. I believe in you.

Meet Paul. He’s our new kitchen manager. And one of the first jobs we tasked him with was coming up with a brunch menu. And let me tell you, he came up with a brunch menu. I almost don’t want to share any of it with any of you. But I will.

That’s right, folks. We’re starting a brunch. Soft launch (read:be nice to us as we work out the kinks) will be next week Friday and Saturday, September 11th and 12th. Planning to serve brunch every Friday and Saturday from 8-11:30am, and then transition to our lunch menu.

Sweet and savory woodfired dishes, breakfast poutine, bloodies, beermosa, coffee drinks—all served with a smile. I guess you’ll have to come check it out next week (and the week after, and the week after that…).

Big Announcement! Nine months from now...

Something is cooking, and it's not just our chefs. Nine months from now, we'll have a new bundle of joy. Nope, we're not having baby number five. I'm writing a book. And I'm releasing this bundle of joy in nine months, on our ten year anniversary. It's a memoir/adventure story of how we started and continue to run this wild business with our family. Raising our kids in a brewery. Getting sued by a crazy Ukrainian dishwasher. Going through a global pandemic. That one time we hired a pretend chef. Funny stories. Poignant realizations. Life lessons. I daresay this book has it all. I'm working on the layout with our designer, and I just wanted to let you know to mark your calendars and save up twenty bucks or so for a special purchase in June. If you play your cards right, perhaps I'll even sign your copy. (Asking nicely. Effusive compliments. Puppy dog eyes. It won't take much to twist my arm.)

Over the next nine months, watch for sneak peeks, fun stories, old nostalgic pictures, and (if I can figure it out) details on preorders and whatnot so you faithful followers can get your hands on some copies of "Blood, Sweat, and Beers" fast (and maybe leave me a review on the Amazon. But only if it's a good review. I don't want actual honesty).

Oh, hey. It might sound a bit corny and cliche, but at Copper State, our employees are more like family. A few of them call me "Mom." And now I'm kind of like a grandma, because some of my "kids" have had kids, and then I get to hold them for a while and then give them back and still get a full night's sleep.
If you've ever had Sami as your server here, you know she has a big heart. And now she has this little guy, and he's in the running for "Baby of the Year." And if he gets enough votes and wins this thing, his mom wants to help pay off his great-grandpa's medical treatments.
So if you've got a minute every day to throw a vote for Theo for Baby of the Year, please do. You can vote every 24 hours. And share this post with the link below. Let's do this.

Looky here. We’ve got a dessert feature right now that you’re going to want to try. Cranberry and orange zest bread pudding with salted caramel rum sauce and toasted walnuts. Served with whipped cream. After you clean the drool off of your shirt, come on in to get some before it’s gone.

Breaking up is hard to do. Our brewer of three years, and our friend for at least two and a half of those years, is moving on, and while we’re excited for him and his family, we think he’s making a terrible decision because of how much he’ll miss us. We tried to tell him.

God’s blessings, Brett, on your next steps! It’s been a blast working with you!

Obviously , people couldn’t even wait for me to take a picture before trying this new pizza feature.

This here is the “Pickleback” —olive oil, cheese, red onion, garlic cloves, pickles, ranch drizzle, and a side of hot sauce. See you soon, I guess. I can’t promise yours will not come out of the kitchen with a few pieces missing, though.
