🌊 The Driftwood Show has a new home this year!
The 63rd Annual Driftwood Show & Glass Float Hunt Festival will be held at the North Willapa Harbor Grange in Grayland on August 22 & 23, and if you’ve never done the Glass Float Hunt, this is a great year to jump in.
Here’s how it works: Beginning Saturday morning at 8:00 AM, stop by the Grange to purchase your hunt “license” for $6.00. You’ll receive instructions on what to look for out on the beach. Find the right item, bring it back, and you’ll have a chance to take home a beautiful hand-blown glass float created by local glass artist Jeremy Bartheld at J Bartheld Glass.
Love driftwood, beach treasures, or photography? Bring your finds and enter the Driftwood Show! Friday the 21st between 4-7 pm. There are categories for all ages, along with cash prizes, ribbons, and handcrafted glass float awards—including Best in Show, People’s Choice, and Junior Best in Show. You can even enter your favorite beach photo for a chance to have it featured on next year’s event poster.
Spend some time browsing local vendors, grab a bite to eat, and enjoy one of Grayland’s longest-running coastal traditions with friends, family, and fellow beach lovers.
